FDI World Dental Federation (FDI) serves as the principal representative body for more than 1 million dentists worldwide and has the vision of leading the world to optimal oral health. Its membership comprises some 200 national member associations and specialist groups in over 130 countries.
FDI leads global advocacy efforts to increase oral health literacy and achieve political commitment and action on oral health in all countries. The organization also fosters best practices in oral health science and education, and shares knowledge in preventive care and treatment to advance the art, science and practice of dentistry.

The FDI World Dental Congress (WDC) helps strengthen ties within the oral health community, delivering:

- an exhibition featuring the latest technologies and products from the dental industry.
World Oral Health Day
World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is the largest global awareness campaign on oral health. Established by FDI in 2007, it spreads messages about how to ensure optimal oral health. Every 20 March, WOHD encourages collective action to help people live healthy lives, free from oral diseases.
